• 24mm Insulated Glass also called 24mm double glazed glass, it is produce by using best quality float glass, take the float glass into the tempering furnace and heats it well above its transition temperature of 564 °C to around 680 °C, the glass is then rapidly cooled with forced air drafts. Tempered process can make the glass 5 times harder than ordinary float glass. After tempered process, we take one piece of 6mm low e tempered glass and one piece of clear tempered glass sealed around the edges with an argon air space between, to form a single unit.

Components of 24mm Insulated Glass

Glass: The glass in insulated glass units can be a range of thicknesses or type. for  24mm insulated glass , it contains one pieces of 6mm low e tempered glass and one pieces of clear tempered glass. Insulated glass can also make up to three panes of glass or laminated glass to used for the areas where is extra heat or sound insulation is required. The more thicker of glass, the more efficient of heat and sound insulation it is.

Spacer: 24mm Insulated glass utilize a 12mm argon spacer to separate the two glass panes where they meet at the edges. These spacers usually have some sort of desiccant to absorb moisture between the panes and prevent fogging. Argon spacer is more better sound insulation than normal air spacer.

Glass sealant: Insulated glass need sealed twice, the first seal is usually use Butyl Adhesive, for second seal, Shenzhen Sun Global Glass Co.,Ltd use quality structural silicone sealant for the facade use glass, or silicone sealant for the window use glass. Sealant must be thick enough to ensure the quality of glass.

Molecular sieves: The function of molecular sieves is to absorb moisture from the air in the argon/air spacer. Molecular sieves should not be exposed to air for more than 4 hours, if they are exposed for more than 4 hours, they will absorb moisture from the air and the glass will fog. Thus, glass process should be finish production within 4 hours to avoid fog.

Insulated glass provide better insulation than the traditional glass. The double glazed design provide a better barrier to reduce the amount of heat transfer from the house to the cold outer air. Double glazed is produces by used two pieces of tempered glass, tempered glass is 5 times harder than normal float glass. Once breakage occurs, the glass disintegrates into small cubical fragments, which are relatively harmless to human body.
