19mm Toughened Glass is manufactured by subjecting cut to size panes of glass to a heating and cooling treatment whereby high compressive stresses are set up at the surfaces with balancing tensile stresses in the centre.

The high compressive surface stresses give the glass its increased strength i.e toughened glass, tempered glass.

When / if broken toughened glass will break into lots of small usually blunt pieces making it much safer than annealed (non toughened) glass which breaks in to large usual sharp pieces.

19mm Toughened Glass is up to five times stronger than ordinary (float) glass of the same thickness.

Because of its increased strength, Toughened Glass allows architects and builders far greater scope in their use of glass in buildings.

10mm frosted tempered glass is cut 10mm obscure glass into customized size, then pass them into tempered furnace, which heat the glass to near glass softening point of 700 degrees, then rapidly cooled, which let the outer surface of the glass in a state of high compression, and the core or center of glass in compensating tension.

Product Details:

Sheets of 2 or more glasses are bonded together by polyvinylbutyral PVB and subjected to heat and pressure in a furnace so as to ensure clear and tight adhesion between the various layers. The glass used can be normal float glass or better still toughened glass so as to give additional strength and safety.

In case of an impact such glass tends to absorb a large amount of the impact and even after breaking retains its shape as the pieces stay glued together thus protecting the personnel inside and outside such structure from injury. Therefore it is also referred to as Safety Glass.

It also gives additional security to the place as even after breaking the glass it is virtually impossible to cut through the thick layers of broken glass and PVB. This glass is also good at cutting off outside noise and blocks almost 99% of harmful Ultra Violet rays of the sun without reducing visible light.
