Double Glazed Unit (DGU) or Insulated Glass is a fabricated unit consisting of a minimum of 2 glasses separated by an aluminium spacer to create a semi vacuum condition so as to make the surface as much non-conductible as possible. By using this unit as a facade of the building one can bring down the costs of regulating its inner temperature and also minimizing the noise level to a certain extent. One can choose the combination of the outer and the inner glass as suitable to the aesthetic and design concepts.
Uses: To insulate a structure against the vagaries of the nature and also to reduce noise disturbance up to a certain level, Skylight etc.
